Hello all!
I know it's been quite awhile since I posted, and for that I apologize! I would love it if you all would check out wearecelticcross.com for me. It's our family band's OFFICIAL WEBSITE!!! I'm very excited to see where this will go for us. We've already recorded one CD and are considering another.
Also, keep us in your prayers between March 21-24th. We'll be competing in the Eclectic Strings competition down in Atlanta, GA and will have the opportunity to play with Barrage, a big fiddle band. VERY excited! We are competing as a group and I am competing solo as well.
That's about it for now. Thanks guys!
In Christ,
MJ

Amy, Dear Friend
Hello there.
I know I don't post much now because of how busy I am with school, but I feel that I should post this.
To anyone who reads or finds my blog and doesn't know Amy Calderone, she was a wonderful, God-honoring woman who longed to be with her Savior. On Tuesday, December 14th, Amy experienced a hemorrhage in her brain in the area that controls vital functions. Surgeries were done to place drains in her head to decrease her intracranial pressure (ICP). Since that day, she fought kidney failure, clotting issues including DIC (blood coagulation) problems, further bleeding in her brain, and intense ICP. About two days ago, she developed another hemorrhage in the part of her brain that controls the memory among other things.
Last night, at 10:59pm Eastern, this precious girl passed away. She was 19 years old.
Amy is with the LORD of lords now, but the pain is still great. Her family is in need of much prayer in this time. Please pray for Dave and Patty (the parents), Dan, Jack and Juli, Laura and Aaron, and Stephen (the kids and their spouses). Pray for peace, strength, and the knowledge that God works everything together for the good of those who love Him.

An Interesting Friday...
It started like any other Friday - history co-op in the morning, a performance in the afternoon, Godspell rehearsal (I'm singing BGV), and driving to Bowie (I'm playing pit orchestra for West Side Story with Bowie High School) when IT happened.
We had a green light and went straight; the other lane had a red turn light. A black Jeep Cherokee ran the light and crashed into the front quarter of our car, rocking the car and sending it over almost a lane's worth of road.
I screamed. I admit. Not to mention that seeing plastic go skidding across your windshield and hear the seemingly endless crunching and grinding and smashing of metal on metal was a little odd, as well as being thrown about the back seat (yes, I wore a seatbelt). Chris was driving, and there were three other people - including Caiti - in the car besides me and him.
We waited an hour for the police (yeah, no joke) and an ambulance (the other driver was hurt; their car had been destroyed), then another hour and a half for the tow truck. Then Mom and Dad (who had driven all the way up to Laurel, where the accident happened) drove us to the hospital to be checked out. There, they put us in blankets (I was shaking) and c-collars (those neck brace things - so annoying) for safety measures. After discovering that we were mostly okay, just shaken and sore, they gave us some meds and sent us home.
Yup. Just another day in the life... sort of :)

Sorry not to post...........
hey all!
Well, unfortunately this might be my last post for a while. School has started back up, and as I will likely be very busy, I won't be able to post as much. I hope to post some pictures, at least on Flickr (my mom's account) if not here, but I'm not gonna promise anything because I don't know how my schedule will all work out.
thanks for understanding!

A NEW CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I finally got a new camera!!!!! It's a Canon Rebel EOS T1i, 15.1 megapixels, 720 HD video, an 18-55mm lens, and a 50mm bokeh lens. (if you don't know what all of that means, it just means that it's a nice DSLR with some good lenses) : )
Point being, I've been taking LOTS of pictures. Here's some:
our car radio (i was experimenting with light) -->
<-- a music stand
my violin teacher's dog, Annabelle -->
<-- playing catch
<-- she is SO cute!
my teacher has this ADORABLE cricket knick-knack -->
<-- a bush at church
This picture is kind of cool cuz i just clicked the camera and there it was!
<-- this picture was intentional
this is my new purse :)
<-- another bush at church. yes, i like bushes : )
um, the cutest dog on the planet - my dog Sparky : )
and yes, he's laying on his back - look at his ears!!! -->
my sister's bed -->
so caleb was being photogenic - sort of...
<-- he was a little tired.............
the decorations at at wedding i was playing for -->
<-- this was taken with the 50mm lens - see the nice blur?
the ryans and their cousin ashley
my closet door : ) -->
well, that's all for now : ) at some point, I'll post my Picasa link - there's a bunch of funny pics there : ) I just have a photoshoot with Sarah, DJ, and Ashley to add : )
